This reputation examines the concept of ICT, the concept of instructor professional development, the use of ICT in teacher professional development in Nigeria, factors contributing to vi ctimisation ICT in the classroom and causes of low ICT application in teacher professional development.

The paper concludes with some recommendations, among which are that employers of teachers and teachers themselves should take avail of the several on-going in-service training on ICT by participating with enthusiasm and partnering with organizers to expand the tenure of such training or workshops. Teachers should to a fault inculcate the use of ICT in their professional development, especially in the classrooms.
